Power sector records N2.2 billion loss, here is why

The Nigerian power sector as of Friday, October 5, 2019, recorded an estimated N2.2 billion loss. As disclosed in a daily energy report by the Advisory Power Team office of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, the loss recorded was as a result of insufficient gas supply, distribution, and transmission infrastructure.

Airlines want more women stakeholders in aviation sectors

In order to increase the number of women stakeholders in aviation sectors, airlines under the aegis of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), have unanimously agreed to launch 25by2025, a campaign seeking for more women with sought after aviation technical and policy qualifications and experience in the aviation sector across the globe.

Nigeria’s manufacturing sector contracts, as key components shrink

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Purchasing Managers’ Index shows that Nigeria’s manufacturing sector slowed down in the month of September 2019. According to the CBN report, the manufacturing sector Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) stood at 57.7 index points, as against 57.9 index points posted in the previous month.
